1. The Inspiration
Turkey is a fascinating country steeped in history. It is a large peninsula that crosses the continents of Europe and Asia and is a myriad of beautiful landscapes.. Turkey is surrounded on three sides by the Black Sea, the Mediterranean, and the Aegean Sea. Istanbul, the largest city in Turkey, is built on land in the Bosporus seaway. The city is partly in Europe and partly in Asia.
Turkey is famed for its fresh produce and is a big producer of hazelnuts and fruits such as white mulberries. Turkish people are wonderfully warm and welcoming. Sharing jugs of Turkish coffee served in gorgeous little porcelain cups is a daily social occasion.
Our Turkish Nights flavour is inspired by the dark rich coffee, delicious crunchy hazelnuts and sweet bursts of white mulberries.
2. Our ingredients
As with all our bars, we think all our ingredients are pretty special. All are organic and have nutritional benefits for your body and mind. Palmyra Blossom Nectar is used to sweeten all our bars. Its excellent health benefits can be found in a separate blog.
We flavour our Turkish Nights bar with homemade roasted organic hazelnut butter, which adds a lovely richness to the bars. Organic coffee, roasted hazelnuts and dried white mulberry powders add a deep flavour, crunch and a burst of sweetness to the bars.
Coffee, hazelnuts and white mulberries have exceptional health properties, and we will discuss them in separate blogs.
3. Our label
We love our label for Turkish Nights. It’s a beautiful Turkish print and perfectly fits our bars’ theme.
4. Its versatility
We love it on its one with a pot of delicious organic coffee. It’s also fantastic in chocolate brownies, and we have a recipe on our blog that you can try.
5. Travel
As with all our bars, the flavours are inspired by travel to different parts of the world. Our trips to Turkey inspire this one. We’ve been lucky to visit parts of the Turkish Coast and Istanbul. Both are beautiful with historic, incredible architecture and special activities such as paragliding off mountains over the sea. Fantastic food and outstanding coffee! We love it there and can’t wait to return.
